-at Word Family

This week we had fun learning how to spell and read words from the -at word family including bat, cat, hat, mat, rat, and sat. We look forward to learning about a new word family this week!

Let the Halloween Fun Begin

As we prepared for student-led, parent-teacher conferences this week, we thought it would be fun to do an early Halloween craft to see if our parents could identify their child based on a few simple clues. Were you able to choose “your little ghost” on the first try? If you missed seeing these, check them out when you visit our classroom next week for our Halloween parade and classroom party!

All About Owls

Our class recently learned about owls. We read several fiction and non-fiction texts to help us learn some amazing facts about owls. As a way to capture what we had learned, we created this art project. Each student gave me one fact to write about owls to go along with their artwork. In the week following, we learned about bats and will be learning about spiders this week. Ask your child to share what they have learned about owls, bats, and spiders.
