Happy 100th Day of School

On Thursday, January 29th, we celebrated the 100th day of school. We did a lot of fun activities throughout the day to celebrate this milestone. We read books about the 100th day of school, created necklaces with 100 fruit loops, wrote about what we would buy with $100, made hats with the number 100 and 100 paint dots, and we finished the day by making a delicious snack of 10 pieces of 10 different ingredients. It was a day of fun and a day of counting to 100 by 1’s and by 10’s. Our teacher was proud of well we listened and how we used teamwork throughout the day to help one another. Happy 100th day of school!

Rhyme Time

We have been hard at work learning about rhyming for a couple months. Here is one way that we practice our rhyming skills. Our teacher gives each of us a word. We are encouraged to read the word and think about which word family it belongs to. This helps us practice our spelling, blending, and rhyming skills all at the same time.

Cookie Decorating

We had a lot of fun reading about, learning about, and celebrating the holidays before winter break. We want to thank our teacher’s mom and dad for making some delicious cookies for our holiday party. We really enjoyed decorating them, and we especially loved eating them. They were sooooo yummy! Thank you so much!!!

Dear Santa!

In November, we wrote letters to Santa Claus. In our letters, we shared some information about ourselves, told him what we were doing at school, and asked if he could get us the perfect Christmas gift. Our teacher addressed them and sent them off to the North Pole at the beginning of December. And guess what? He wrote back! We each got our very own letter. He answered the questions we asked him, gave us updates on what was happening at the North Pole, and he even promised that he would do his best to see that we each got exactly what we asked for. We read one letter a day leading up to Christmas break. Thanks Santa! We absolutely loved getting your letters, and we appreciate the time you took to write them!
